Rally/4x4 ComboGet really muddy
We’ve teamed up with Cotswold Off Road to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to experience the thrill of oversteer, handbrake turns and powerslides on the rally stage and also the challenge of vertical ascents/descents and axle twister on the 4x4 off road course. So, if you’re keen on mud and going sideways, this is the course for you!
Upon arrival, all participants will be required to sign a Declaration of Indemnity and will be introduced to our friendly team of rally and 4x4 off road instructors. After a quick safety briefing, it’s straight into the Land Rover Discovery to head over to the scenic 4x4 off road course. Your instructor will demonstrate all of the obstacles and explain the techniques which you’ll be using and then it will be your turn in the hot seat – can you hold your nerve on the vertical descent? Will you conquer the vertical ascents?
Once the 4x4 off road driving is complete, you’ll head back over to the briefing room to meet your rally driving instructor.
Once you’ve had your fill of tea and coffee and recovered from the off road experience, the adrenaline really starts pumping as you get straight into the driving seat of the rally car – no demo lap in order to maximise your driving time. Your instructor will push you to really find the limits of the rally prepared car and the super slippery gravel track! Once you’ve completed your practice and tuition session and experienced oversteer and mastered the handbrake turn, matters turn competitive when the stop watches come out – 5,4,3,2,1 GO for your timed run to see if you can become driver of the day – Good Luck!
All participants receive a copy of their Off Road Driving assessment sheet and their Rally Driving time and are reminded to drive home safely!
Due to the nature of the 4x4 Off Road course, spectators are not able to view this activity but can view all of the rally driving.
The course is 2 hours in duration and takes place on selected Saturdays all year round with occasional weekdays throughout the school holidays.
Drivers on this course must hold a licence entitling them to drive on roads in the UK. Drivers must be over 5’0″, under 6’7″ and drivers under 18 years old will require a parent or guardian to countersign the Declaration of Indemnity.
